have been a bodyworker since 1991 with an emphasis in health, rejuvenation,
and energizing the body. I am recognized as a good listener
-- who works intuitively -- based on individual needs with each client.
My work provides a safe and grounding environment for deeper relaxation
and connection.
I have
worked with a wide range of clients -- from teenagers to elders and from
amateur to professional athletes. My experience draws from a broad
range of professional study over the last two decades. I am a graduate
of the Brian Utting Massage School. I have a background in recreational
therapy, collegiate athletics, coaching, and yoga. I also have
a professional landscaping and garden mentoring business on South Whidbey
Island.

I
have been a bodyworker for 24 years, including 10 years of intensive teaching
and practicing clinical massage. I am known for my effective
work for injury recovery, chronic pain relief, improving posture, and physical
coordination for adults and children. I am recognized nationally
as a Feldenkrais® Assistant Trainer and Mentor and have an extensive
background in martial arts, naturalist and outdoor survival studies, yoga,
athletics, and music. I serve on the Board of Directors for
the Wilderness Awareness School.
The
Feldenkrais Method® is for people who want to learn to move with ease
(including sitting and standing), overcome injury and limitations, improve
their alignment and coordination, and become more aware of the choices
they have in movement. Through guided movement, informed touch, and
self awareness, clients can feel the difference between ease and effort.
New habits are made that are long-lasting, utilizing more of their whole
body instead of overusing one or two parts of themselves. Private
Lessons or classes in Awareness Through Movement® are available.
